Accessories for Bride and Bridesmaids

Accessories may not be the biggest worry on your wedding day but they can make a huge difference. From shoes and jewelry to veils and hair accessories brides and bridesmaids know that all the details matter. It’s your big day and everything you have is planned out to a tee, let’s look at some that might inspire you.

First, we have headbands and hair pieces for the bride and her bridesmaids. While it’s not a traditional style for some brides it definitely a pop of glam for the whole look. There’s an array of different styles to choose from like pearls, diamonds, or just a simple style. Headbands aren’t just for brides either, they can be used for bridesmaids as well. Most brides and bridesmaids go for the bun hairstyle when wearing these or a sleek curl. Perfect for a bride who is choosing the no veil route as well.

Next, there’s a more important accessory to the final look, the veil! For the brides that do go for a traditional veil, there are so many different kinds of styles to choose from. There’s lace veils, short or long, vintage and modern. Basically anything the bride wants, there’s a veil for it. With this in mind it can be overwhelming choosing which veil to match your perfect dress. There are always the professional suggestions from bridal shops and friends but of course it all comes down to what the bride wants. Even though a veil is a more obvious accessory it’s still one that should be most considered for our traditional brides.

Cinderella lost her shoe on her way out of the ball but we’re not losing ours! Shoes are a huge part of your day and we’re not just talking heels. While getting ready you might consider matching slippers or flip flops with your bridesmaids but also consider shoes for after the ceremony that you can dance the night away in. We have seen tons of brides bring custom sneakers and even one bride’s mom made custom white sneakers with pieces of her mothers dress on the sneakers. You can get really creative and custom with this accessory. Heels are obviously a great choice for the ceremony but not the comfiest shoe for the whole night. We all know there’s plenty of heel options for pictures and the ceremony but we encourage you to think outside of the box to not miss out on any memorable pictures with your shoes.

There are so many accessories out there that involve customization that can make your day even more special. Here are just a few examples that some brides and bridesmaids may not have thought of but should be considered by all. Overall, it’s your big day and you deserve to get all the knowledge on accessories for brides and bridesmaids!

Lastly, there’s jewelry. With necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and most importantly rings it can be hard to know which to wear with your wedding dress. More detailed dresses would be paired better with simple earrings and little to no bracelets or necklaces. Now, the cut of the dress, other details, and personal opinion will decide what jewelry to pair with what. Some jewelry that is overlooked are arm cuffs. I have seen an abundance of pictures with brides and bridesmaids utilizing arm cuffs with more simple dresses and it can pull a look together.
